Friendships!

My brother Leo.

2nd bridge to Harlem?

Long haul!

One of the most satisfying aspects of life are friendships. Friends are like a piece of your family. You love them, you disagree but at the end of the day, you’re still friends. Realizing this is extremely important in the grand scheme of things because sometimes you just really need a friend. Jesus is a friend forever! He is the only friend that never changes! No matter what, Jesus will never let you down. I know this from experience. God carries us when we don’t even know it. Looking back at my life I now realize that what I had believed to be luck or just chance was never really the case. Blessings. That’s what it was! Blessings. So for the last 2 years Jesus has become my best friend! He is my constant companion. Not a day goes by in my life now without us spending time together. If you don’t know my story I’m diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. My faith keeps me going. God is my strength. Just the other day, a friend from my childhood and I, rode our bikes across the RFK (it will alwaybe the Triboro) Bridge into Harlem. A major accomplishment for us for the simple fact that we both are categorized as being disabled! My friend, Leo, is a retired NYC Firefighter. He responded to the call that day! He lost many brothers that day. God ordered his steps that day. That’s why he’s still here. He’s going through the repercussions of 911. I am extremely proud to be his friend. He is a part of my life. And always remember this… true friends are rare, don’t take them for granted. Make a choice. Besides Leo, there is a short list of other true friends in my life. I value each and every one of them. It really is a blessing to have a friendship for over 50 years. Not many are still here. Peace and blessings!
