Seasons Change!

A time of year that permeates beauty. Our eyes are enchanted with vivid colors painted on the easel of life. A time which incorporates Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and  New Year’s. A time for giving and sharing. For most; the best time! Snow on our roofs and a fire burning in the fireplace. The smells of cooking and baking drifting in our memories. Taking us back, back when life was simpler, easier. Back to times when the TV Guide ruled. No cable. No cell phones. No internet! A time when people actually had conversations on the subway. These were the best times. We use to interact with each other. Looking in eyes that are in front of you… not pixels. Living, breathing people, that’s what we are! The “Information age” has brought people together from all over the world. Making the world smaller. It has side effects though. While making the world smaller it has made us, as human beings, become impersonal. Just ride the subway… you’ll see. No one hardly even looks at another. Our attention has been trapped by technology. Our children and grandchildren play video games rather than playing with each other. Go ahead… ask them how to play some of our childhood games. They wouldn’t know what to do or where to start. Although technology has its advantages let us not lose our humanity! Cut off that cell phone, tablet or whatever for at least an hour each day! See how it use to be even if it’s for a little while. Peace and blessings!
