all over america we are shot by police-america has 5% of the world’s population and 25% of the world’s prison population-justice? no, just us-the infrastructure of america we built-too many have died as our voices lilt-justice? no, just us!-we were strange fruit hanging from the trees-is there a natural fear of us being free?-lady liberty needs to hide her eyes-we get stiffer sentencing for minor crimes-justice? no, just us!-this isn’t our place this isn’t our land and we’ll fight to live life to the very last man-justice? no, just us!-so how do we live? how do we survive?-we do it through faith-isn’t that sublime?-so justice is sort of an enigma to us-still trying to put us on the back of the bus!-but all in all it’s in God we trust-at the end of the day we all end up dust!
