Back to the City!

Well, here it is the day before the snow storm. What a beautiful day it is. I will ride to the city today to take a Cat scan of my chest and X-ray of my knee. The sun is shining and there is hardly any wind so it is great weather to ride. I thank God for enabling me to do these things. As I go about traveling on my bike some people are amazed at my age and the type of bike I ride. What I ride is really not for city streets. I ride a track bike. Specifically for racing on an oval velodrome. velodrome is an oval track with steep curved banks. I chose to ride a fix back in the ’70’s because of my older brother. He taught me how to ride it because I kept sneaking his fix and crashing on it. My ride was uneventful and quick. When it was over I looked at my bike computer and noticed that my total miles for that day was 40 miles. Wow! I didn’t realize that I just did 40. The only thing that I didn’t like was how cold it had gotten on my way home. All in all, I thank God for protection on my journey. Now here it is the day after the snow storm. Believe it or not, I am back on my bike. Even though there is still snow on the ground, the streets are clear and relatively dry. So I ride. This is my life. I ride. I blog. I play basketball. I work out. I love my life and would not trade it for anything. Peace and blessings!
