what dreams

each night
we all take
leave to die
to sleep and dream
should not belie
the sting of death
you’ll take to cry
we live by day
at night we sigh
nightmares appear
which all are lies
our faith will keep
and not deny
that God is King
who sits on high!
the slings of pain
in life endure
have faith in God
that is the cure
the love He has
for all is pure
this fact forever
we can be sure
a life of peace
is what we seek
to live like this
