Amazing!

On Friday, July 13, I rode my fix into the City (17 miles, ended up doing 37). It seemed to be just an average day for me but then  something extraordinary took place. In the waiting room I got into a conversation with a fellow patient about bike riding. I mentioned to him that I blog about living life diagnosed with cancer and that I also had some inspirational poetry on my site. I recited one of my poems to him and did not realize I had an audience. As I completed my eloquent elocution, I heard something unexpected. Applause! Unbeknownst to me I had an audience of about 15 patients and staff members who were interested in what I had to say. I explained my regimen of drinking a glass of water each morning with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and how I also eat apricot seeds. Some were even taking notes! Wow! Isn’t God amazing? I never expected that my musings were worthy enough of accolades. So I ended up reciting several more poems to rounds of applause. Even though I don’t remember the names of my fellow patients, I just want to thank everyone who was there for listening. I was actually humbled by their support and smiles. My summer is evolving into my best summer! My fight starts each morning when I awake. I thank God for healing me and giving me strength to persevere! Peace and blessings!
