Statistically, every sixth death in the world today is caused by cancer! This makes cancer the second leading cause of death worldwide. (cardiovascular diseases is number one) This fact tends to make me realize the scope and magnitude of my present situation. Each and every day I hear of someone dying from cancer. To some people this would be disheartening but not to me! My belief that God has already healed my malady sustains me. I will not live my life in fear. This is why every morning I’m in Ajax Park playing basketball! This is why around noon every day I’m on my bike riding to the city or wherever! I am fearless in my ongoing battle! I refuse to give in to the tenets of cancer! My faith has become insurmountable! During this fight of mine some unexpected things have occurred. My physical condition is better now than it was before my diagnosis! Also, I am finding out about a talent I never realized… writing! I don’t consider myself a writer but I feel that I’m getting better at it. God has a propensity to take one out of his or her comfort zone! Be that as it may I will not stop. My battle is one that is inexorably perpetual! If God be for me… we all know the rest. Peace and blessings!
