Wow!

This year will be my fourth diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer! I’ve learned so much since the beginning of this so-called malady. First and foremost, I don’t think I would even be here if it wasn’t for my faith and belief in Almighty God! Secondly, my perception of life has changed to the point whereas I am constantly looking towards each and every new day with happiness and verve! No matter the circumstances surrounding me, I’ve learned how to enjoy the beauty that exists before my eyes. The peace that lives within me is unparalleled! I do not take life for granted anymore. It is a beautiful blessing that we all should be ever thankful for. Sunday is February 24. I will be 64 years young! I say young because physically, I am in better shape now than since I turned 50 years of age. Basically, I am the poster child for the saying, “age is just a number”. Be that as it may, life for me is wonderful. I am incessantly obsessed with my physicality. This is why I stay in motion. Here it is in mid-winter and I’m still on my bike! And when the weather permits, I’m in the park shooting around. On top of that, I write my blog to inspire not only people diagnosed with cancer, but anyone willing to take the time to read me. I am extremely thankful to God for making me the person I have become. I’ve actually taken the lemons that were given to me and have made champagne! Peace and blessings!
