I travel frequently throughout NYC on my bike. And even though I’m not prescient in any way shape, form or fashion, something’s wrong. Now that my eyes are open I’ve noticed that hardly no one looks up anymore! If you take stock of this fact you will see what I’m referring to. Even people just walking down the streets are mostly oblivious to what’s around them unless they’re sightseeing. What has happened to the world we reside in? It’s as if there is no more conversation left and everyone is in their own bubble! Have we become so desperate for attention from social media? Is Candy Crush and the like more interesting than conversations with real life people? Not only children but people in general today are so disconnected from each other it’s a shame. No matter what situation or where you look nowadays, people exist in their own private little worlds! Technology has changed us. Most are lost without their cell phones. Now video games are so immersive you’re connected worldwide! The majority of kids don’t want to go out and play anymore because they don’t know how to! Teenagers have to get therapy when depression sets in from not getting enough likes! Wow! People are not interested in talking time to smell the roses anymore. More and more couples are going out for drinks or something to eat and hardly ever talk! God has surrounded us in the world with beauty! No one really cares. Slowly but surely we are strangling the earth. We polluted the air and killed many of the animals. All in the name of progress. Time is short! We must open our eyes! Connect we each other physically again! See what real beauty is! Let’s smell the roses before they’re gone! Believe and have faith in the Almighty! Peace and blessings!
