I would like to thank everyone for the heartfelt birthday wishes yesterday. I have learned many lessons in the last 6 years. Being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer has made me recognize the beauty that surrounds me… the blessings that surround me and last but not least… how my faith has blossomed into something extremely powerful. Sometimes I am at a loss of words when I read about all the people around me dying from the exact same disease! And more than likely passing so quickly after diagnosis! I realize I am blessed! Each morning when I open my eyes, I am victorious! My path now leads me to inspire other cancer patients and families affected by this devastating disease. Keeping a positive attitude about cancer is important! I promised to not adhere to the tenets of cancer. I make sure that each breath I take is truly appreciated. As I am now dealing with my 2nd cancer, I will not lose my faith! As far as I know, God has healed me long ago! So this is how I keep a smile on my face. Have faith! Peace and blessings!
