Got up from my bed, fell into the sky,
was this a dream? I asked with a sigh.
Weightless, I drifted through whispers of light,
chasing the dawn as it fled from the night.
Though darkness instills its vibrant sounds,
God’s mercy in echoes still circles around.
Shadows may reach, but they cannot confine,
for faith is a lantern lit by the Divine.
I struggle to hold the names and faces,
time slowly sweeps them from earthly places.
Yet in the hush, where the lost are found,
I hear them in prayer’s most sacred sound.
And when the sounds in my ears darken,
to heaven’s call, my spirit will harken.
A flicker remains where silence once grew,
a whisper of God where the sky turns blue.
Peace and blessings!
