RAMBLING ON
Time to sweep the cobwebs out of the corners of my life,
drifting along the brisk pathways of my perception.
Never knowing when the proverbial “other shoe” is going to drop!
The velvet rope still isn’t being pulled aside for me… not yet!
So my path unfolds before I even wake the next day.
Moment to moment, my life is carried quietly,
no boundaries set by anyone else,
no lines drawn that I didn’t draw myself.
This is how I can live and still be free.
This is how I make sure I can disappoint only me.
Life hurts only when I let my guard down?
No… life is pain, living hurts.
Yet freedom… freedom waits in the next one!
