I have learned many lessons in the last 6 years. Being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer has made me recognize the beauty that surrounds me&#8230; the blessings that surround me and last but not least&#8230; how my faith has blossomed into something extremely powerful. Sometimes I am at a loss of words when I read about all the people around me dying from the exact same disease! And more than likely passing so quickly after diagnosis! I realize I am blessed! Each morning when I open my eyes, I am victorious! My path now leads me to inspire other cancer patients and families affected by this devastating disease. Keeping a positive attitude about cancer is important! I promised to not adhere to the tenets of cancer. I make sure that each breath I take is truly appreciated. As I am now dealing with my 2nd cancer, I will not lose my faith! As far as I know, God has healed me long ago! So this is how I keep a smile on my face.
