The 1st day of Spring is near. Wow… it seems as if time is going by so fast! Me, personally, am excited for hopefully the weather will break soon. I’ve never experienced so many nor’easters in a row before. Anyway, now I can do some serious bike riding. Three months in and I’ve yet to break 200 miles this year. My intention is to do at least 100 miles a month. So far I’m behind schedule for I’ve only done about 165. Now that Spring is almost upon us, I intend to up my mileage a lot more. As far as my diagnosis is concerned, my Cat Scan was fine. Also my knee X-ray also came out okay. I thank God for enabling to do these things. My oncologist has been suggesting to me to join a support group. She feels I have the tools in place to inspire people going through dealing with cancer. I concur. My faith in God is the reason I have almost 3 years still here. My workouts, my bike riding and my basketball. This is my life. Being diagnosed with cancer has simplified my life. My faith, then my health. These are\u00a0paramount<\/em> in my life. I really don’t feel 63 years old. In my minds eye, I’m in my 40’s. (fat chance!) All in all, my life is great. Twice a month, I have to deal with the therapy for the cancer. (I still refuse to speak words such as “my” or “I have” when dealing with cancer! Words are powerful!) I look forward to these treatments not because I\u00a0<\/em>like\u00a0them, but because of the friendships that I’ve developed with my Doctors, nurses and support staff. They are my extended family. Their smiles and professionalism has made a dire situation for us (those of us diagnosed) much more comfortable. I applaud them for what they go to work for each and\u00a0every\u00a0<\/em>day. I just hope that my participation in support groups helps\u00a0someone.<\/em> And in the process, help myself! Peace and blessings!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
