I\u2019m sitting here in one of my favorite spots, Washington Square Park.(on my fix, of course) At first I thought about\u00a0not\u00a0<\/em>writing my blog today for I didn\u2019t have anything to write about. Then I realized that I\u00a0always\u00a0<\/em>have something to write about. My life! God has blessed me to see another holiday! Here it is, Memorial Day Weekend, unofficially the start of summer and I\u2019m blessed to experience this. I\u2019ve learned to\u00a0really\u00a0<\/em>appreciate life now. For the past few days I\u2019ve had something gnawing at the back of my mind. I didn\u2019t have any idea what it was. It revealed itself to me in the most innocuous way. While helping my friend Leo paint a fence, I did something that I\u2019ve done many times before, that is, mistakenly paint over some black ants. But the way I felt afterwards was a turning point for me! I actually felt bad that I was the cause of ending those ants lives! To the point of shedding a tear! Wow! Call it what you will, that\u2019s how I felt. My respect for life,\u00a0any\u00a0<\/em>life, has been altered. My diagnosis has made me\u00a0respect<\/em> life more! Everything with life has a\u00a0right\u00a0<\/em>to live that life! Peace and blessings!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
