{"id":911,"date":"2018-09-27T23:10:02","date_gmt":"2018-09-28T03:10:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/walkingdeadman.com\/?p=911"},"modified":"2018-09-27T23:10:02","modified_gmt":"2018-09-28T03:10:02","slug":"flashes-of-infinity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingdeadman.com\/index.php\/2018\/09\/27\/flashes-of-infinity\/","title":{"rendered":"Flashes of Infinity!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>no matter the steadfastness of my resolve-i am only human-so don\u2019t fault me when i act as such-each and every day begins my ongoing battle for life-when my eyes open the battle stands anew-something i\u2019ve grown to know intimately-for over three years now each day i fight-my fight for my life-so be it!-i fight-so\u00a0<em>everything\u00a0<\/em>i do is a\u00a0<em>smack<\/em> in cancer\u2019s smug face!-i ride my bike 30 miles&#8230;\u00a0<em>smack!<\/em>-i play basketball for at least an hour every day&#8230;\u00a0<em>smack!-<\/em>i work out and eat right every day&#8230;\u00a0<em>smack<\/em><em>!<\/em>-but then sometimes there are these flashes-<em>flashes of infinity-<\/em>this is when the scope and magnitude of my path flares up!-when each and every day i hear of someone else falling prey to cancer-when i acknowledge the fact that i, too am diagnosed with cancer-when people look at me incredulously and say \u201ci\u2019ve never met someone with over three years of stage IV lung cancer before!-when i look up to the sky and realize how really diminished i am in this place&#8230; this world&#8230; this universe!-how i experience the cold detachment from so-called\u00a0<em>healthy\u00a0<\/em>when cancer rears its head!-my existence depends on my inexhaustible battle-all in all there\u2019s but one remedy for those\u00a0<em>flashes of infinity!-<\/em>those feelings of helplessness-so winning the war\u2019s my goal-the fight is long-the fight is hard-but i have the ultimate corner man&#8230;
