One of my favorite artists is Erykah Badu! I blew my chance back in 2007 to see her concert here in NYC. I wasn’t gonna miss her this time! I went to the Barclays Center this past weekend with my new friend to finally see her live! And let me tell you, we had a blast! Erykah was amazing as always. To actually witness her singing my favorite songs by her was such a treat. She is as witty and funny as ever and had us in tears with her beautiful voice. This’s one for the book for my friend and I! An excellent experience that will never be forgotten. We also got a chance to see the artist H.E.R.! I have been a fan of her music but never knew how extremely talented this young woman is! She pretty much played just about every instrument onstage! And when she did the guitar solo from Prince’s Purple Rain, I had to do a double take to see if it was actually her playing! Wow! Only 21 years young and AMAZING! I suggest that if you’re a music lover, check out H.E.R.! Anyway, I would like to express gratitude to my friend for accompanying me to the concert. It feels as if we will be long time friends! And most of all, I have to thank God for keeping me. Peace and blessings!
