For 10 long years, I’ve been in a fight,
You look at me, yet miss my plight.
I battle each day with a warrior’s might,
Rising each morning to greet the light.
With cancer, my life I’ve rearranged,
No acceptance of it at close range.
I’ve learned to grow, to not shortchange,
And embrace the joy in every exchange.
I once delayed to face my fate,
Caught in the web of time’s debate.
But now I live, no dreams abate,
For life’s too precious to hesitate.
I keep my belief and faith in God,
His love is real and no façade.
What He does, though paths seem flawed,
I trust in His plan through trials that awed.
Peace and blessings!
