Life is short. Faith is eternal.
We measure life in years… yet it’s a whisper between two eternities.
Our lives are brief
as the cosmos turns.
In a blink, a breath,
we are dust in urns.
We trust our years
will stretch out long,
think we are untouchable…
but we are dead wrong.
Our prime feels endless,
our days, a climb,
but the seasons slip…
and here comes short-time.
Past fifty’s gate,
the fall’s in sight;
we crave more hours
from life’s borrowed light.
But deep inside,
we already know,
it’s drawing nearer:
that time to go.
No choices to make,
life is ordained.
Doubt it too long,
and you’ll go insane.
Keep faith in God,
recognize His truth.
For in the end,
we are under His roof.
So have no fear
of what comes next.
Have faith to know,
we are never hexed.
We’ll know the answer,
all eyes made clear;
in that revelation,
hold your faith dear.
And soon enough,
we are gone.
(SHORT-TIME)
Yet God remains,
forever near;
our fleeting breath,
His purpose clear.
Peace and blessings!
